Sausalito Environmental Action (SEA) identifies issues that affect Sausalito's environment and supports actions that protect and enhance Sausalito's unique and distinctive qualities. We advocate:
* controlled growth consistent with Sausalito's character and limited capacity
* maintenance and enhancement of resident-friendly amenities
* manageable traffic flow through town
* preservation of open-water views
* protection of our local parks
* retention of maritime services and a working waterfront
* preservation of Sausalito's historic buildings

An applicant must be a permanent resident of the Sausalito Marin City School District. Scholarships are awarded to graduating and continuing students at accredited colleges or vocational schools. Feb 22, 2012 02:47PM Marine center seeks volunteers The Marine Mammal Center?s Education Department is seeking volunteers for its hospital and education facility in the Marin Headlands in Sausalito. Volunteers learn about marine mammal conservation with a focus on the animals that are rehabilitated. Volunteers inspire visitors to better appreciate the ocean and help protect the animals that live in it. Assignments include indoor and outdoor shifts in varying weather conditions. After training, education volunteers work a minimum of eight hours each month.
